Posted Oct 26th 2006, 05:39 by Advancing The Kingdom on Evangelism/Missions

Greetings in the Name of the Most High God.  We are doing quite well here in Uganda, the towns of Lugazi, Mbiko, Jinja (Walukuba) and Seeya.  I am continually amazed at the amount of power and authority He has entrusted to us, the people who desire to become Sons of the Most High.
I have ministered each day since Friday – normally doing two services per day.  Today, I needed to take a half day off to write to you…

In His Presence*

Cliff Pash always opened his meetings in Africa by encouraging all the participants to seek God’s presence through praise (God inhabits the praises of His people) and worship (in spirit and truth).
Unless we are in God’s presence, then we cannot be one with Him and His purposes. Another way of saying this is that if we are not in His presence, we will just be doing our own thing without…

2.  The Real Kingdom of GodBy Ron McGatlinSo much has been said about God and His kingdom that is later found to be inaccurate or untrue that we may be prompted to ask, will the real Jesus please stand up and will the real kingdom please show itself? Good Morning
I recently returned from my emergency trip to Uganda on Wednesday last.  I had written about the serious health issues of our Worship Leader in Uganda, Sarah Namaganda.  She underwent an operation for Peritonitis, a painful rupture of the stomach that spreads the contents of the stomach into the body.  At first there was amazing improvement and my friend Nicholas Ongamo had written a report that proved to be far too premature in its praises and in her healing.

Two Things Stopping The Plans of God For Our Life

There seems to be so many reasons why we see so little of the Power of God manifesting itself in the earth.
First, there is so much darkness still within us that it swallows up the light or glory that God shines upon us.  I have been seeing more and more of this so clearly.  The unforgiveness that still reigns in our hearts, the vows we have made to ourselves, the sexual sins of the past all continue to control…

“I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more.” (Isaiah 43:25)
I believe this is the only scripture in all of the bible that tells us a clue as to why God forgives our sins. Most of the people of whom I have asked this question will say God forgives sin because He loves us. While this is true, the bible does not say that is…

There have been so many replies that I need to generate, and have not been keeping up with them. Thank you for your patience.

Good Morning once again friends. Julie and I have had a wonderful weekend and find that once again, His mercies are new every morning. May His name always be praised through the words of our mouths and the actions of our hands. Everything we say and do must be a praise and a testimony to what God has done in and through our lives. May our lives be returned to Him in praise.

I wonder if it is possible for an entire congregation to participate in the plans and purposes of God. I have this fantasy dream that every member of a congregation has been given the fullness of the Holy Spirit and all the “giftings” that comes with it. I have never read in my bible that special empowerment only comes to certain individuals since the day of Pentecost. In fact it was Peter who quoted Joel to say…

The apostate religion has taken faith and turned it into a system of rules and regulations that can only be interpreted and enforced by man – or mullah or…

CHRISTIANITY AND ISLAM! Are the Differences Unbridgeable? January 10, 2004
Islam teaches that the gulf between man and G-d is unbridgeable; this is the basic difference in Christianity and Islam. Christianity teaches that it has been bridged in Yeshua haMashiach/Messiah Jesus. Yeshua/ Jesus was called “Immanuel” which means (as you may know) “G-d is with us.” (Matthew 1:23). For Muslims this is the height of blasphemy because they believe that Christians are trying to usurp the…

I have been asked to talk about cross-cultural conversion. Why is important to mash these two ideas together, cross-cultural and conversion? We all understand the importance of conversion, of people receiving the Lord Jesus Christ, but why is it so important to communicate across cultural lines? There are many who would argue that the missionary enterprise has been hijacked by colonialism and neo-colonialism and only serves to spread the influence of the Westernization. Talk about the…
